Fish, chicken, rice, plantain, wheat flour, tomato, bread, etc., the surge in prices becomes untenable and causes the galley of the housewife in Cameroon. This situation forced the Minister of Commerce (MINCOMMERCE), Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana to go to the markets for the control of food prices, especially during this period of the greatest Christian feast, Easter. The National Institute of Statistics (INS) indicates in a report published on March 24, 2021 that the index of final household consumption rose 0.3% in February.
