The President of the Republic harmonizes the retirement age of civil servants and public officials
The President of the Republic, Paul BIYA and the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph DION NGUTE, signed decrees harmonizing the retirement age of civil servants and public officials falling under the labor code. These important social measures which were expected from civil servants and public officials will lead to an increase in the amount of pensions for all beneficiaries, the pension being proportional to the number of years of work. The Director of Career Management at the Ministry of the Civil Service and Administrative Reform (MINFOPRA), Hervé Brice DIKOUME BATINDI, indicates that the workforce affected by this harmonization varies between 100,000 and 115,000 public officials.
