Pea-jeunes: municipalities can bank on agricultural development with the participation of their young people

Agriculture has always been considered a real engine of the Cameroonian economy. In an era of accelerating decentralization, agricultural development could (re) become a pillar of the local economy. The municipal executives should develop the economy of their territory either by direct support to young people or by support to associative movements in order to create small businesses offering services with an impact on the sector. This is the meaning of the Pea-jeunes project (Program for the promotion of agro-pastoral entrepreneurship of young people) including 3,094 young people aged 18 to 35, grouped together in teams of three promoters, at least one of whom must be a woman, with varied and complementary profiles. , have already benefited in different regions of the country.
