A partnership for the prevention of social ills in urban areas
MINHDU (Ministry of Housing and Urban Development) is not only in charge of infrastructure for the development of cities. It is also given the mission to participate in the prevention of social ills in urban areas. Hence the purpose of the partnership agreement signed yesterday with the "Social Vaccine" Program. This convention aims to raise awareness and popularize methods of prevention and the fight against HIV / AIDS and other social ills in urban areas such as the consumption of drugs and narcotics ... Already, many young people in urban areas are victims of where the urgency to action. The adoption of strong methods is necessary to stop these scourges that thus gangrene our society. The two parties are thus committed to pooling the human and material resources for educating and sensitizing young people in urban and educational areas about the evils of these scourges. Concretely, it will be question of recruiting the peer educators to sensitize not only the teachers and the raised, but also to go towards the other layers of the Cameroonian population whose tradesmen, administrators, businessmen, associations and men of Churches .
