After the Mbankolo tragedy, the authorities are looking for a resettlement site
This announcement was made last Friday, October 13, 2023, when the Minister of Territorial Administration (MINAT), Paul ATANGA NJI, presented gifts from the President of the Republic to families affected by the landslide on October 08. Following the handover of donations to direct victims the day after the disaster, this time some forty families living in the vicinity of the disaster received sleeping equipment, foodstuffs, toiletries and other items. In all, 57 families were identified as having been directly affected by the disaster. Most of these families have been rehoused in the Nkomkana party house, until a viable site can be found for them.
