Building experts concerned about building collapses
Gathered within the Cameroon Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange, in synergy with the SIKA Group's Cameroon subsidiary, specialized in waterproofing solutions, an upgrading seminar has just been organized for players in the building and civil engineering sector. A study carried out a few years ago revealed that "around 30% of claims reported in commercial buildings are due to waterproofing problems", which are not always attributable to a lack of expertise in these fields, but to human factors such as the unbridled pursuit of profit by property developers and project managers, among others.
